Indonesia is managing the Sukamade Turtle Beach, where eggs of sea turtles are collected for incubation and rearing in a hatchery, before the young turtles are released into the wild. Protecting Sukamade Turtle Beach also means safeguarding the sea turtles‘ reproductive cycle. The first job is to secure a safe, quiet and appealing environment where the turtles feel comfortable laying their eggs.

Invasive Plants Species and the Competitiveness of Wildlife Tourism Destination: A Case study of Sadengan Feeding Area at Alas Purwo National Park.

Wildlife tourism has been promoted at Alas Purwo National Park (APNP) since the national park was identified as one of the center of biodiversity in Indonesia. Sadengan feeding area (SFA) was established and opened for wildlife tourist destination since 1970 due to the animal diversity and abundance. The quality of destination has been recognized as a main factor for tourism destination competitiveness.

An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale rattled an area 159 km southeast of Polewali district in South Sulawesi on Sunday, an official said.

The epicenter of the tremblor which shook the area at 2 p.m. was traced at 4.84 degrees south latitude and 124.06 degrees east longitude and located in a depth of 77 km, a Lampung meteorological and geophysics agency (BMG) official said here Sunday.
